Accent

I've noticed that Germans have a very distinct accent, and I feel as if I need to learn it to truly become good. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

I lived in Germany on an Air Base for a couple of years while I was in the 3rd and 4th grade. We took a "German class" several times each week. Mostly we learned (memorized) German children's songs (e.g. Hop, Hop, Hop, Pferdchen lauf gallop). This was very helpful for developing a better accent. Each stanza has to rhyme, so if you get one pronunciation of one of the rhyming works correct, you can infer the others.

just google "German children's songs" or "Deutsche Kinderlieder". Listen, sing (in private of course), repeat.
