Why is the speaking part always going to an error?

I've noticed that when speaking into the microphone in exercises, that it no longer gives you a second chance. This is bad because sometimes it just doesn't register due to latency or some other temporary malfunction. You should not make that a mistake. Or sometimes I start to speak and I have brain gas and stutter or mumble and I should be able to start over. Even if I hit stop, it makes that an error. Is this a problem with the new version? Or just a problem period... ?

This seems to be the new way of judging speaking exercises.

Well....at least I know it's not just me or just my system... :)

I works better if you speak slowly and clearly form the words.

Yes I try to speak slowly and enunciate clearly...But sometimes I barely get one word out and it just goes to the error. My pronunciation is pretty good so I know it is not me every time... :)

Sorry don't know how to fix that. How about Duolingo help at the bottom of the site?

I sent this in as a bug report....I don't know if they look at them or not...They might be understaffed for this....
