German Beginner - Drinking

Hey guys, new German learner here. Can somebody tell me the difference between Trinkt, Trinkst, Trinke, and Trinken? I think I get a few differences between them, but I'm still kind of confused. Thanks!

It's conjugation.

Ich trinke

Du trinkst

Er/Sie/Es trinkt

Wir trinken

Ihr trinkt

Sie/sie trinken

Most verbs follow this pattern.

Hi, not everyone in the general "Duolingo" forum is learning German, but if you edit your post and change the topic to "German" you'll probably find a ton of German savvy folks that are happy to help you.

I suspect it depends on who is doing the drinking. That's how French and Spanish work, anyway. The verb form tells you who the subject is (me, you, them...).

I was a bit confused with the topics, but I changed it to German just now. Thank you for informing me!

Thank you!!

Yep, it's verb conjugation. Same idea as in Spanish or French.

I see, thank you!
