Mistake in the dictionary

Match (English) = Maĉo (Esperanto)

There shouldn't be a letter T in the word. I think this is a mistake: https://www.duolingo.com/dictionary/Esperanto/mat%C4%89on/1a42caed19f40d913e1dd67c0919b865

My dictionary ( posReVo) actually has both spellings as does Wells .... might be one of those varients that arise like fajsboko and visaglibro which havn't settled down yet.

There is, in fact, a problem in that entry, but it is with the sentence, not the word. "Venki" means conquer, or defeat, not win.

maĉi = to chew. I guess that's why matĉo has a 't' in it.

The Wells English-Esperanto-English dictionary only shows 'matĉo' in the Eng-Esp side and malrekomendas 'maĉo' for this sense in the Esp-Eng side. I've always tended to trust printed sources, especially for 'old' words.
