English talks: What about you?
My name is Alex, I am from Mexico, Mexico is a beautiful country, it has many different kind of weather, it is rich in culture, you know.
I have family, 2 kids, a beautiful wife and a "little" huskey, sometimes I spend my time with them I enjoy watching my kids playing, learning english with me, sometimes I speak to them in english, my wife uses duolingo too and she has started to understand me, that's great!
Sometimes we just put cartoons in english, and my daughter tries to repeat the spelling. It is amazing!
But well, how about you? What about your country, your family?
Wow...you seem like a really cool Dad...I am proud of you, friend...
Well, about me...
My name is Sergio. I'm 23, and I am from Bolivia. I still live with my parents, and my two brothers. We have two pets: Buddy and Chocolate. Beside me, my elder brother is the only one who studies english. Both my parents speak Quechua and Spanish. I kind of understand some Quechua, but don't really use it. This year I am majoring as a Financial Engineer. The following six months I want to dedicated myself to improve my german and portuguese as much as I can. Also I am trying to study computer science and programming online. Next year I'll try to make my way on my country's Stock exchange Market.
Quechua!!! I have some neighbors that speak that language, sometimes they have to move their tongue so fast in order to make some sounds, they of course are from Bolivia too, one time they just came to my house and they prepared a tea, an special drink, it was delicious, I don't remember the ingredients but the taste was amazing, and they teached me how to play "domino cubano" they have a dog called Nito (Bo-nito) and he is Draco's best friend xD, seriously they play a lot!!
Financial engineer is similar to be a broker? In Mexico actinver has events, every year I participate in this event in order to learn how to sell and buy in a stock market. BTW I am systems engineer and I work with UNIX.
Now I'll have to demand that special tea to my parents...LOL...never had such thing, really...just the regular ones...About your question...A Financial engineer may work as a broker, but also in banking, corporations, government, or anything finance related...My brother is studying Systems engineering too, that's cool...You know we're very excited to learn about "Block Chain", have you heard about this?...It seems is going to be a Big deal, like internet was in the 90s...
blocj chain... bit coin? it is a big deal... a few months ago in MX a bit coin's value was around 350 bucks... now it is around 1,000 bucks!!! Well if you can subscribe to "9no concurso actinver" it will be on october.
I don't think I'll make it...but thanks for sharing...Yeah, a huge deal, indeed.
yeah I will be aware about the new big movements hehehe I want to make some extra money. Maybe programming an app.
hi, my name is Estrella and i am from Mexico too, in my case my dad is the one who had made us learn english. Im pretty good, but still learning. I love my country, it has a lot of beautiful things, just like a lot of other countries in the world, and actually that is a very important reason for me to learn english. All my family is learning english, and it is pretty amazing that my little brother is the one that knows more than all of us, but that is because he has been playing or watching me play videogames in english since he was a little baby, the bad thing about it now is that he is a friki haha.
Hahaha!! thanks for sharing!! Here.. at my work my co-workers think that in a few yeas english our native tongue and some extra leanguage will be a MUST. English was optional in maybe 5 years and it was a plus, now I think it doesn't.
Again thanks for sharing and keep practicing!!
