I just lost my 588 day streak due to my streak freeze not working. (I'm a 100% positive that I had it equipped) Back in the old days of Duolingo, there used to be an admin who would fix people's streaks when stuff like this happened. Does this type of person still exist, and if so, who is it?
The same thing happened to me recently. Anyone know why it didn't work? I've seen similar posts about streak freezes not working.
The streak freeze lasts for 24 hours. (I believe that is from midnight one day to midnight the next day. The time is calculated based on the computer you created your account with. If you move to a new time zone, the old time zone still counts.) If you feel that there has been an error and the streak freeze has not performed as it was programmed to, please move this over to the Troubleshooting forum. You can do that by following these steps: 1.edit post. please add your operating system and browser (for example, mine is Windows 7/Firefox) 2.click "duolingo" at the top of your editing window. it is a drop down menu. 3.select "troubleshooting" from the menu. 4.save To find the troubleshooting forum in the future, please go to the main Discussion page and look to your right. Depending on what layout you have, you will see it there directly to the right, or you will need to scroll down until you see the link next to the miniature flags on the right side. Good luck! ..... We have looked in to many lost streak claims of people who said they know they missed a day, but who thought the streak freeze should have kept the streak going. Looking into this is not an easy task, and we quickly noticed that 99% of the time, people lost their streak freeze on another, earlier date, and then did not have a streak freeze protecting them. We cannot give the streak back .....

No, nowadays you have to login to the Android app (or IOS) and buy your streak back (with real money) from the store.
It will be an optional item in the store on Android, not a popup message like it seems to be on IOS (according to other threads).
