Która, Kto, Który, i Którzy. What's The Difference Between These Words?

Czesz, Calling all pro Polish Speakers.

When completing the topic Question on Polish Duolingo, I came across the words która, kto, który, i którzy, and I don't know when to use these words.

These words have very similar meanings: Która - which, what, who Kto - who Który - which, what, who Którzy - which, who

Also, czyi and czyj have similar meanings, bot meaning who.

Can explain when would I use each word I mentioned above. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, 79133jak.

Czyj/ czyja/ czyje - likewise inflected like an adjective, this pronoun means "whose".

Czyj jest płaszcz? - Whose is the coat?
Czyi mężowie zrobili to? - Whose husbands did this?

Kto is the interrogative pronoun to ask "who?".

Kto uderzył mnie? - Who beat me?

Która, którzy, których, którymi etc. are the same word in different genders and cases. Keep in mind that such words also inflect in Polish (what doesn't?). Luckily the declension of such pronouns is the same as that of adjectives, so if you can inflect adjectives, you shouldn't have much trouble with these. You can see the declension here.

See here: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Appendix:Polish_pronouns#Interrogative_and_relative_pronouns:_kto.2C_co.2C_jaki.2C_kt.C3.B3ry - in English.

You may also look here: https://pl.wiktionary.org/wiki/Aneks:J%C4%99zyk_polski_-_zaimki - it is all in Polish, but there is more pronouns explained with their full declension, eg. "czyj"
