Impossibly fast timed practice
Does anyone know why timed practice has suddenly become so quick that it's impossible for someone without professional level typing skills to ever complete anything?
I've noticed this in the recent past and have also wondered about this. I am an excellent typist with the ability to type a high WPM, and even with me flying through the lessons at full speed I sometimes don't have much of a time buffer when I have a practice that requires me to add a lot of accent marks. I can't imagine how anyone with less skill can get through without running out of time.
It was a a/b test to make timed practice faster, i'm not sure if it stuck but i type pretty slow and still mange most of the time, in Spanish i find myself finishing with like a minute left most of the time but i guess it depends on the language because i dont usually have as much time left in French
I'm the same as you. In Spanish I usually have anywhere from one to two minutes left, but it's less in French. Where things get slower for me in Spanish is if I do a timed practice on the lesson with question words where almost every question needs the the inverted question mark and an accent on the question word.
