"Are we eating owl?" should be accepted, because the geist of the sentence seems to be asking whether or not what the speaker and the listener are eating is the meat of an owl, and in english you would usually call that the continuous, "owl" rather than the discreet, "owls"

I checked this with dedalvus, and he says

  • Atroksī ipradi? = Are we eating owls?

  • Atroksiari ipradi? = Are we eating owl?

Since the course has not yet taught the collective number, we have to settle for eating countable owls rather than mass owl.
