Voyage Voyage is an old late-80's French song that topped the charts in various countries during its time. I'd have to say that I quite enjoyed it myself, and would recommend it if you haven't heard it before.

I know that song, th m8, I'm sure, the best song should be from 80's or 90's

Should've know that you would've know it already. Anyways, here's a playlist containing various French covers of Beatles songs if you're interested :

The question should be: What is your favorite song?
I'll give you one of mine, an old one though: Avec Le Temps
And I'll add a more recent one: Eblouie par la nuit

This is just my personal opinion, but the best French song I've ever heard was Tourner dans le vide by Indila.

La vie en rosa, of course!

'Avec le temps' (Léo Ferré): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZH7dG0qyzyg

'Ne me quitte pas' (Jacques Brel): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0k63grkip5I

'Je suis malade' (Alice Dona/Serge Lama): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isCJAxWtreY

Those three are generally at the top of all lists. Several songs in this thread are just pop trash, to me.

Alice Dona and Serge Lama have never managed to sing their own song well enough. There are some good performances by Dalida and Lara Fabian (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVvlmpo5g9k, with French lyrics and English translation) but it could be better than that. To me, that song is better than it can be sung.

At least Lara Fabian is trying very hard to get to the ideal version in this other video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=El1aaRT5S2M.

Stromae - Papaoutai - This is a really cool song, which makes it the best song ever.

I love Apres un Reve by Faure, which is a classical chanson! It is well known in the music profession, and has a heart-breaking tone.
