Slower speed of speech

Is is just me that can't hear any slow speed of speech on my Hungarian lessons? When doing a lesson the voice in duolingo reads but if I need it to speak slow and go on the turtle it does not work.

The Hungarian course does not use a text-to-speech softver, they are using recordings instead. That's why there is no slower version.

The Italian course used to have a recorded voice, not TTS: you could hear two or three speaker's inhalations between the words in the 'turtle' mode. Now it switched, probably, to TTS, at least both normal and slow speeches became more clear.

I think that the problem is that the Hungarian course is still in Beta: it is not stabilized yet, so the contributors perhaps decided to skip the slow speech option and to concentrate on the content improvement

I doubt that the Italian tree ever had recorded audio: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/3997520/Difficulty-understanding-the-Italian-text-reader They later changed the Italian TTS to "Carla" from IVONA.

I don't think any tree with recorded audio has a functional turtle option.

When I started the course, there were two voices, both female, one of them sounding more unnatural. But in the turtle mode I clearly heard 'La-ah-ah-don-na-ah-ah-be-ve-ah-ah-a-cqua...' Perhaps it was a bug of Italian TTS, however strange. And yes, some words were pronounced unclearly. Anyway, it's gone several months ago.

It was a problem for me too when I started, but after a week of daily practice, I became accustomed to it (even if i still have to play it several times to complete the sentence). By the way, I find it a very clear and pleasant voice, not like the ones in other internet courses or TTS.

Thanks. I hope it will come soon. Hungarian is driving me crazy anyway.
