Horse in turkish means "at" so why the "ımız" that is added to the end of "at" ?

It's about the structure of expressing possessives.

  • I have a horse. = (Benim) (bir) atım var.
  • You have a horse. = (Senin) (bir) atın var. / (Sizin) (bir) atınız var.
  • He/She/It has a horse. = (Onun) (bir) atı var.
  • We have a horse. = (Bizim) (bir) atımız var.
  • They have a horse. = Onların (bir) atı var.
