Hi, what is the difference between ON and IN September

It's very simple: in September is correct, on September is incorrect.

If you want to use on, you should specify the day: on September, 9

Duolingo accepts both "Do you work in September" and "Are yiu working in September". In English, these sentences differ in meaning. A) Doesn't Russian distinguish? Or B) Which translation applies here and how would you say the other?
