Can anyone help me? Duolingo reset my 316 day streak, despite not missing a day. It says I achieved only 10xp yesterday (05/08/2017), despite achieving 20, it also says I have 10xp today, despite as of yet not having used it. Is this a bug? I guess it doesn't matter that much, but I am a bit disappointed. Many thanks.
The fact that you have been awarded 10 XP today for no work suggests that your 20 XP you did yesterday has been allocated over the two days (10 yesterday and 10 today). Did you earn the 20 XP late at night? That could suggest it is a timezone problem.
I thought that aswell, but I did them one after another in the early afternoon.
I lost my 3 days streak yesterday. Although it does not seem much, it happens very often and I don't know why. Does the streak start counting 24h right after you met your daily goal? When this happens I find myself losing motivation to keep going.

Here are some tips to prevent your streak in the future.
Losing a streak is a common complaint from people, who .......
- use the Duolingo App
- use an outdated operating system or an outdated browser.
Workaround for the App
Always check if your phone/tablet had synchronised with the Duolingo servers after doing a lesson. Sometimes it can take 5-10 minutes after finishing a lesson in the App.
- have Duolingo's web version always open in the browser of your phone/tablet
- set this browser in Desktop mode
(maybe not possible in an iOS phone with a small screen)
- refresh your browser after each lesson in the App, and check if the amount of XP increased in Duolingo's web version.
Set your daily goal to 10XP, in case of an unreliable wifi.
Check every day if your streek freeze is still equipped.
A streak freeze starts protecting on the day after its purchase:
it's only an insurance for the future, it's not a free pass for the same day!

For most people, I think, the 24 hour period is midnight to midnight. On your home page there should be a number counting down the hours you have left to meet your goal and maintain your streak.
