New beginnings!.. (Kind of) :D
I've now decided to delete six of my seven languages (not Italian, of course) and focus on two languages at a time, until those two languages' trees are complete and golden! And I'll do this by laddering! Also, I'll put a bit more time and effort into the harder language of the two.
I'll start by learning Portuguese and German, while doing English from Italian. I'll learn German through Italian and Portuguese through English, since it's not available for Italian speakers (yet).
Then I'll go on to learning French and Dutch. The French course I'll learn from German and Dutch I'll learn from Portuguese. (If and when it's available.) I'll learn them like that and not vice versa so that way there's no confusion when I'm learning them.
Finally, I'll finish my language bucket list off by learning these last two: Russian and Greek. I don't know if I'll learn them at the same time, hm... We'll see. But I do know that I'll learn Russian through Dutch (if and when it's available) and Greek through French (if and when it's available, as well).
Every day I'll learn a bit of both languages.
I'm doing this now because I've just realized that learning all these six languages at once, and keeping my Italian in shape, just really isn't a good idea, especially if I want to be fluent in all seven of these.
Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this and for your support!!! X)
This is really refreshing! Bye-bye, nearly all of my flags, and hello to new beginnings! :D
That's a great idea :D I'm currently focusing on just two languages too (German Spanish) with two lined up (French Dutch) ready for the distant future when I complete the current languages. I fear any more than two at once will hinder rather than help me :/ I do have more than 4 languages I'd like to learn but, like you, am just looking at focussing on a small amount right now :) Good luck and happy learning :D
¡Buena suerte y feliz aprendizaje a ti también! X)
If you didn't understand much, let me know and I'll just tell you in English! :) That could give you a good idea about where you fall with your Spanish.
If you ever need any help with Spanish, you can let me know and I'll be glad to help! :D
I'm afraid my Spanish has a lot further to go :/ But I would like to get around to learning Portuguese too. It's quite funny we're planning on learning the same 4 languages though :) Puerto Rico always seemed like it'd be a good place to visit :)
I've not even got far enough ahead to think about reverse learning or anything like that yet, I shall have to see how I feel once I am more confident in my language skills :)
Sorry but that's about all I could make out :/
You got it!!! :D
Oh, it's okay. With practice and in time, you'll get there! And haha! Yes, I love Brazil! The men there are so hot.. XD And the people there are just really happy and cheerful. Not to mention, it's a beautiful place.
But just like Puerto Rico, it's a place where there's an extreme amount of violence. I was born in Puerto Rico and haven't visited for a while now, but honestly, the violence has gotten up a lot in the past few years... and it's a shame because I love Puerto Rico, la isla del encanto (the island of enchantment). Sighs
And oh yes! Reverse trees are a great idea! I was asking if later on you'll do laddering, when you feel more comfortable. If that's a goal of yours.
Good for you! I could never even do two languages at once; I always concentrate on one; Spanish. But good for you! It's awesome to have it all golden too, that way you can become totally fluent. Good luck!
¡Muchísimas gracias!!! :D
Well thanks! And maybe if I put all effort into it I know I could do it, but we are always SOOO busy so it's work enough with one language. But if anyone has the extra time go for it! It's a great thing to do!
Yeah, but I'll have to fit it into my school schedule. (I'm homeschooled which is SO AWESOME and it will be a lot easier to get this into my daily routine. Maybe if you wake up just 15 minutes earlier you could at least get a little bit of practice! One question; are you fluent in English???? Like, can you read what I'm saying easily? Just wondering. Thank you!
¡Yo solía hacer eso! (I used to do that!) XD
¡Y guau! ¿Te educan en la casa? Esa idea no suena tan mala. Quisiera ir a NYU. ¡Me encanta cantar!
And yes! I can read English, speak, and write it with no problem!! I was born in Puerto Rico, but I grew up in the United States. :)
Also, great job at understanding Spanish!! I commend you! :D
Yeah, they do educate me at home and I love it! You can start school early in the morning and then if you're diligent you can get done by noon and have the whole afternoon free! And I love being able to do my school on my comfy bed with a cup of coffee or tea; it's so cozy! So, you like to sing? Cool! Me and my four older sisters love to sing together. What's your favorite song? Maybe if you send me a link of your fav. I'll send you a link to one of my many favorites. What type of singing do you like? And haha with me being able to understand Spanish! That made me smile! I actually cheat and use an online Spanish translator. Yeah, I admit it! I can understand some basic Spanish but hey, that's why I'm on here, to become more fluent in Spanish! Hopefully, I'll be able to read anything by the time I'm done with my Spanish tree. I'm working on it!
Ooo. That sounds pleasant, neat, and convenient! That's nice but I'd honestly rather keep going to school and stay with my friends and get a better shot at hopefully going to NYU. But keep getting homeschooled because it must be nice to stay in your own home! It's less you have to worry about than those of us who do go to a school.
Yes! I love to sing!! :D Singing and languages are my top passions, they things that define me! I hope to someday become a well-known (I don't want to be that known, tbh XD) polyglot singer-songwriter. But first I want to start off on Broadway for a little bit. But honestly, I still have quite a bit to get to there. XD
Oh, uuumm... Wow, uh, just one?!.... X( Oh Lord, I can't choose!! XD There are soooo many songs I just absolutely love!!!
Well, I do love this song!!! It's originally by Céline Dion but these two covers of it are simply outstandingly amazing!!! These are truly outstanding singers!!!!! :D X)
OH! I also absolutely love "Secret Love Song" in Spanish!!!!! It's so good, so emotional and powerful!!.. It reminds me of what I'd have to go through when I find a boyfriend who truly loves me because we'd have to hide from a few people I love in my life, simply because they wouldn't approve.. :,(

OMG! Have you watched Glee?? I highly reccomend it!! It's such an amazing series, please watch!!!! The storyline and all that happens can be so relating, and it's just such a great show to watch since the main characters go through so much! You can literally see them progress so much throughout the show! It's so heartwarming. Also, all the covers they do and original songs they occasionally make are simply amazing, purely outstanding!!! They are to die for!!! Here are just a few of the many, talented covers and songs they've made! :D

Let me know which one was your favorite!!! (Or "which ones were your favorites. XD
Ohhh! Hahahaha! At least you told me you use a translator. XD But hey, it's fine because I used to do the same thing with Italian about four years ago. But Duolingo's helped me learn so much that now I don't even really need a translator anymore. And I'm sure the same will happen to you in Spanish!! :D I'm actually at about a B2 to high C1 in Italian now!
And I normally would never post all the irrelevant stuff like that onto a public discussion like this one, but I have to since nobody, literally none of us has a place where they could simply chat with others anymore... :/
My favorite was probably Oh Holy Night. Here's one of my favorite songs!!!
And this one is so beautifully done! I love it!
And this one is like my life theme song. Make sure you watch all of the songs through because they're utterly gorgeous!
And this one is pretty too but I think I like the song before better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEbQswNB6Wc
Hope you enjoy and let me know what one is YOUR favorite. And there's so many more I like!
How Great Thou Art is such a beautifully written and sung song!! What a great song! :) It's so pure.
However, my favorite one would have to be Who Am I!! I can relate and it's so soothing, emotional, and powerful! Thank you for sharing it with me! :D
And OF COURSE! THAT'S the song I was missing from my list!! DX Hallelujah!! Oh, how I love that song with a passion!!
These are my top 2 favorite versions of it:
This one's so beautiful!! :)
#2. Sam Tsui, Casey Breves, and Alex G. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BGB6rvATmxY
This one's so powerful, emotional, and outstandingly amazing!!! :D
#1. Pentatonix https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LRP8d7hhpoQ
Let me know which one you like best!!!!! :D
I just love to sing. Music is my soul. My soul is music. And there are so many beautiful songs out there that fill every person's emptiness and unknowingness with certainty, power, spirit, and strength to continue forward stronger than ever and never look back. I believe there's one song written for every person in the planet, no matter how old or different it may be.
