Finish tree golden on 20XP

Is it possible to finish a tree only doing 20XP/day with only doing new lessons when the tree is golden, or will you reach a point where at least 2 lessons will need refreshing each day and you won't be able to make progress.

My sister is doing Spanish and I am thinking about joining her, but I want a light commitment. I could always do one new lesson each day, but that may result in insufficient retention.

I realize that the answer probably depends. I make a lot of mistakes; I would probably not get 100% right doing English from English. I keep my french tree golden, but at 60% complete, I am doing at least 5 a day just to keep it golden (I am pushing ahead pretty agressively; summer and more free time).

Of course it is possible, though it would take quite long. You don't need to have each lesson strengthened to finish the tree. Maybe after you finish the tree, you could strengthen two lessons each day, and just continue with that. Just a suggestion

I would agree, you shouldn't strengthen something just because it is not gold but because you feel like you need to practise and this may leave you with more time to advance

I will go with your idea and push forward until I feel the need to review. It will be intersting to see what the results will be, not exceeding 20xp. Et je vais faire Espanol de Francais pour ameilurer mon Francais. (had to cheat to get my endings right)

But my thought is to only do a new lesson if all is golden, that might actually prevent finishing.

Oh, okay. I think that that is possible, but it would take very, very, very slow. Some days all may be golden, some only one isn't, and some two or more aren't golden, which is why.

I think I'm wrong. I actually don't pay attention to the trees and just do the same lesson over and over till i know it crazy well. Well that's why my progress is slow

I think if all the trees are golden, you just do one lesson on each. But I'm probably wrong

I finished the Spanish course in about six months doing 40 XP per day (at first I was doing strengthen 3 and do one new one, but then I stopped doing new ones until my tree was all gold).

Since you're already doing French, you already have a huge head start on any other Romance language, so your plan sounds fairly achievable to me.
