Hi So iv wanted to learn russian for ages and iv attempted to a little bit i know the alphabet ok ish
And im allways saying like when it gets to the summer i will do this but i never do i have no effort or motivation having finished school i just give up I set out a plan
2 hours of duolingo split into 1 hour sessions Learn 10 new words a day Listen and read, write by reading books listening to short stories ect Has anyone who is english learnt russian if so what did you do
I give up easily with lots of things
Well when I barely started to learn the Russian language I used any opportunity I had to learn and grow in my vocabulary. Maybe you could get connected with a Russian group or maybe make some Russian friends in your area. Also you should listen to the Russian radio or talk shows. This will force you to try to make out what they are saying by using the vocabulary you know. I used many different websites to learn Russian. I used memorize, babble, Rosetta stone, masterrussian.com, etc. Also I watched some American movies that I watched often and found the Russian translations. I started learning the language when I was about 12 and I'm 15 now, so I'm at an intermediate to advanced learner, I think. Any opportunity you get to speak the language I encourage you to take it. Don't give up and good luck.
Even though i am still learning Alphabet and basics sentences, i watch every EasyRussian video, and believe me that motivates me to keep driving into this beautiful language!
Take some easy written book, translate 1-2 pages, take a CD with the same text, read and listen simultaneously.
