Ahoj! If you guys are excited as I am for the Czech course, then it would be reasonable to also learn about some of the traditions of Czech Republic, and one of them is music. Czech Music is one of the most important ones in all Europe, cause it is a mix of the traditional Bohemian music and the influence of many countries nearby like Germany, Hungary or Austria. Czech Music is very conservative, cause it conserves its origins, since the Baroque Era, Czech Music has developed its own style, making it different to other countries' ones, cause many composers like Adam Václav Michna z Otradovic, Jan Dismas Zelenka and Šimon Brixi used the Czech style, and that's why they are well known today.

The most representative composers of the actual Czech Republic were Bedřich Smetana and Antonín Dvořák, these two composers investigated about the Czech folk, and they mixed it with their own style, and the result, was totally awesome, Smetana's "Má Vlast" (My Homeland), portrays the history, legends and countryside of his native land, Bohemia. Dvořák showed a great interest in National Culture in Bohemia, specially folk songs, and he also mixed it with European Style, specifically the classical form of Beethoven, and the result was awesome too, we have the "Slavonic Dances", the 9th Symphony "The New World", and many Operas In Czech, which were forbidden in those times.

In my deck you'll see more than 100 composers from different eras, who were born or lived in the actual territory of the Czech Republic, and, If you want to listen to their music, go to this link:

My personal favorites are Jan Dismas Zelenka, František Brixi, Antonín Dvořák, and Jan Zach.

I don't really care about my streak, that's why I lose it after 30 or 40 days.

Thanks! Nice cards and videos. (I haven't gone through them all, yet.) Maybe you should make some cards and/or videos for Czech conductors, too. :)
