losing a wager has nothing to do with how much language you are learning. if you are advancing in your learning, thden the percentage should change...period.
The percentage in which you are fluent? I'd advise to ignore it completely, this number doesn't have anything to do with anything.
Jellei AKA : "Burster of bubbles " ( kidding ) No, I agree. I mean right away when I first began the Polish course it said I was 14% fluent and I knew there was NO way, in any capacity I was at 14 % ! But that's the funny thing about using percentages- they can be deceptive.
I am 20% fluent in Brazilian Portuguese, despite not doing anything in the course for at least 3 months ;) And finishing only 18 skills in the times when I learned...
Haha. We will drop you down in the middle of Brazil and see how far your 20 % will get you. : ) . I guess because people are goal oriented there has to be a tangible number assigned to make us feel more motivated to reach that next higher level. Obviously, the use of numbers works as an incentive for the most part whether consciously or subconsciously.
