High Valyrian Update coming soon?

I'm wondering if there are any plans for a High Valyrian update soon? I heard it mentioned in the incubator here (https://incubator.duolingo.com/courses/hv/en/status) that 3/5 of the total course has been released, and the rest is still to come. Is there any ideas of when that is likely to come?

I also wonder if when we get an update to the tree, will we also get audio and mobile release? So far, I haven't seen any official mention of audio or a mobile release, but hopefully that will come soon?

Thank you for any information, and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the High Valyrian course come out one day!

The release of the High Valyrian course on mobile platforms is unrelated to the other issues in your question. That will come when the number of error reports per (some number - 100? 1000?) of users drops below a certain threshold. What that threshold is, I do not know.

I do not know any inside information about extending the tree, a version 2.0 or audio but I suspect they decided to release what they had of the tree, honestly an incomplete course, to have the course come available at about the same time as the premiere of the new season of Game of Thrones. I think I heard that the next season won't be shown until 2019 so it would be at least 18 months before that opportunity came up again. I am sure they are doing the same thing with the Klingon course, taking what they have now and having a course available around the premiere date of Star Trek Discovery next month. Both courses saw very significant gains in the percentages of the course shown as completed on the incubator page in a span of a week or two, not becuase so much work was done in a short amount of time but because they cut down the final product so severely.

I have heard that there are some pretty important aspects of the High Valyrian language not addressed in the current tree, like collective nouns.

Me too! I've been waiting for that since the day I started doing the course, I hope that the 2.0 tree does not include so many turtles and dragons.

I hope there would be audio and additional grammar notes (especially, after the second checkpoint) with the next update. You can work on pronunciation with Dothraki wiki; however, it would be nice to have some recordings with each lesson.

Apparently there will be! According to the creator himself, he's said that audio is planned to happen and recorded by him. Have a look in the comments here: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/24452677

I find it really great that I can learn valyrian of course, but man is it hard to get a grasp around some grammar. Some choices of translation just don't make sense to me (i or yssy ??).

That being said, it takes so much time to master it that I think the 2.0 version will be released before I finish :P
