Let me introduce myself...

Hola everyone! My name is Carlos and I'm a 48 yr. old native Spanish speaker from Puerto Rico (also have a pretty good knowledge of English). I have a 50 day streak (so far) learning Italian- which is very similar to Spanish- and French (not as easy as Italian for me). I found out about Duolingo by exploring Google Play Store on my Android device (Galaxy Note 4). I thought the idea of learning a new language would be interesting so I put the app on my Wishlist- but never really paid too much attention to it after that day; kinda like "there you go, one more app on the list". Then one day, after going through my Wishlist for some reason, I found Duolingo again and this time I decided to give it a test drive. Well, fact is I love it very much! I even told my girlfriend about it and she downloaded it a week later to start learning Italian too (yes, I've told a lot of people about the app. There, I said it). It has an easy format, lessons are simple but progressively harder, helps you build vocabulary while also works on your grammar at the same time, so it's a win win situation for me. I believe the possibilities are endless once you learn a new language (work, travel, etc.) so who knows? I'm not thinking this app alone will make me a fluent, native sounding speaker but the point here is being realistic about my goals and keep learning from there. Just expand on the knowledge I'm getting here. And most important, this race is not about speed- it's about endurance. Feel I can help you? Just drop me a line. Thanks Duolingo for making this possible for many people around the world.

¡Bienvenido a Duolingo! :D

Y sí, ¡yo también soy puertorriqueño! :D Pero vivo en América.

Piacere di conoscerti, Carlos! Abbia una bella giornata!! :D
¡Placer en conocerte, Carlos! ¡Que tengas un buen día!! :D
