I usually start my beginning of the week exercises on a Sunday night sometime after midnight. To-night I notice as I have on other occasions that my points accrued at 30 are not reflected in the scoring list, where I am credited with only 10. I would appreciate a response to my observations. Go raibh maith agaibh.
My ones done up to 30 minutes after midnight are credited to the previous weeks too maybe if you want them on this week wait like an hour until the scoreboard has rest to 0
Your own daily score is based on your own 24-hour "day", and is supposed to start at your midnight.
But the scoreboard is shared, and may have different people with different starting points for their 24-hour days, so it (as far as I know), uses a common starting point for everyone worldwide. It should even out, because the other 20 points of the 30 that you earned were credited to last weeks score-board (of course, you can't see that any more, so it's like you didn't earn them).
But apart from that, you'd have to move this discussion to the Troubleshooting discussion to get any more detailed information.
The extra complexity is the system seems to uses your local clock for your day - especially relevant for streaks - but the server's for the week and month.
Month? Is there a monthly counter somewhere in the system?
As I said, the weekly leaderboard is shared, so it uses a common clock, for all users on Duolingo.
Oops, you're right - I forgot about the "This month" and "All time" tabs on the Leaderboard.
