Yes, but in Northern dialect it is used to refer to traditional hats that are made of leaf, usually conic.

I don't know about this because I'm looking at mũ shops online right now from Hanoi and they are all selling snapbacks, caps, bucket hats etc. I think mũ is a less used synonym of nón and is nothing more than a general term for all types hats. If you want to be specific and specify traditional hats then you'd say nón lá
