placement test

How can I tell if a student has completed a placement test or not? I am using it to determine where my Spanish 2 students are. I tested it with French (and failed it), and when I checked my progress on my french class test (duolingo for schools), it didn't show any class progress at all. Is there a way to see if a student took the test or not?

Is there a way to see if a student took the test or not?

Yes, there is.

Go to https://schools.duolingo.com/

  • Log in with the username and password of your Duolingo classroom account
  • click on the name of your classroom for "Spanish for English speakers"
  • click on "Classroom settings"

You are now in https://schools.duolingo.com/classroom/xxxxxxx/settings
Be sure
. "Duolingo language course..." says "Spanish
. "What language do your students speak?" says "English"

  • click on "Students" - "More details" - "Activity details" - tap "All time" or select another "Date range" from the drop down menu.
On 23 October 2018 "All time" gave an error

  • click on the student's name you want to check

In about 10 seconds, a pop-up wil appear

  • scroll to the bottom of the pop-up

If a student has completed a placement test, you will see "Test" in the lesson's collumn.

no pop-up appears.... I am working on a chromebook, would that affect whether it allows pop-ups or not?

Try to enable pop-ups in the Chrome browser.
