So, as many of you know, the main reason I'm learning Greek is that I really want to move to Crete. I initially thought that I'd try to get fluent in London and that my wife and I would move in 2-3 years from now.
Well, things went a fair bit quicker than we'd planned - not that we're complaining, by any means - and it now looks like we'll be permanently moving to Crete in November!
I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone here who has helped me over the past year or so. I'm still a long, long way from being fluent, so I'll be around and asking a lot of questions for a good while yet. But, on the other hand, I'm actually really pleased with my progress so far, and I'm getting increasingly confident that the pair of us will nail it sooner or later.
So, thanks again! Much appreciated, and I'm eagerly awaiting the new tree!
Kind of late to the party, but thank you for sticking around. ^.^ Your feedback was (is, and will be) all greatly appreciated, and of course, thank you for your unusual, sometimes puzzling but great questions. We couldn't live without any of that. ;D
Thank you all so much for the kind words! I'm currently in Crete part holidaying, part setting things up for the move, and will be for the next few weeks. I've got limited internet access, so there won't be too many entertaining questions for a while (although expect a load after that!)
Ελπίζω ότι η ζωή σας στην Ελλάδα είναι εκπληκτική!
I also hope that the move and transition go well! I'm quite jealous of those of you who live inside the Schengen zone ;)
