Anybody know why duolingo doesn't accept commonly used kanji as answers? It's driving me up a wall.
What's the difference between どこ and どちら?
どこ asks about a specific location while どちら asks about direction.
Every other sentence they use an unnecessary "a" and yet I say "Where is a bank?" and THIS time it is wrong. Fml.
Still not accepted 10-28-18. Keep reporting it as "My answer should be correct."
However, not that 何処/どこ is generally written in kana, not kanji.
why is it sometimes doko and sometimes dochira - both being translated as "where"?
Read in another thread that どちら is closer to "which way" and has more to do with direction. どこ is a bit more literal to "where" and is location-based.
so why they don't accept as a correct answer "which way"
'a bank' should be accepted.
