This lesson keeps repeating this same sentence.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/PsymeRecker

"It takes one year"

That is about as long as it felt doing this particular lesson .

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/xandos

Same thing for me, the entire lesson is just one sentence. Pretty annoying.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Nexus227

I know! Just like the second lesson in "Direction," this lesson repeats the lessons over and over again.

Placeholder. They probably haven't written a bunch of sentences for it yet

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/LightMor

But they write a description in this lesson: きょ年, 今年, 来年, おととし, さ来年, 年, and this words will be later in practice of the whole lesson. So I think it is more likely a bug, for which there is no button "Report".

It's because it's not on mobile version....

OMELETTE DU FROMAAAAAGE

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/sneku-chan

I understood that reference

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/GoldCrono

That's all you can say! That's all you can say!

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/ninthtale

My entry was a correct variation. 一年かかります can be either "it will take a year" or "it takes a year." Rught?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/mzerrath

Considering that present and future tense are the same in Japanese, that should be the case. Have you reported that to Duolingo yet?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/ei283

Hit the flag and report it

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Roztastic

...Why is this lesson only one sentence?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/cherie941176

this lesson keeps repeating the same example over and over. Please fix it!

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/psyne0

How has this lesson been so broken for 5 months and not fixed? :/

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/jasminperalta

My dictionary says year=年=Toshi, but I can't recognize Toshi in the audiofile. Is that a bug or is it that 年 is spelled different in this case?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/PsymeRecker

Toshi is the kun'yomi reading, which you normally only use when the Kanji is by itself.

Nen is the on'yomi reading, which is normally used when combined with other kanji.

So 一年 is ichinen and not ichitoshi.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/jasminperalta

ありがと Thanks for your explication. Duolingo might put both readings in the information page of this chapter. That would be really helpful.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Rebekkysan

The same sentence over and over for me too.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/KorpKyuu

If you stuck in a loop restart the lesson, it works for me

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Mikhail_san

Most repetitive lesson ever.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/a.lavin

This lesson is (still) broken? Every single item is "it takes one year."

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/cherie941176

lessons that repeatedly ask one to practice the same structure over and over and over are AWFUL! Please include variety in EVERY lesson!

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/cherie941176

Still no change. Does Duolingo not have any moderation of comments at all?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/satwita

The report function doesn't allow one to report glitches. This one, based on the comments, has been repeating the same sentence for three months now. This does not seem to be something the Japanese team per se will fix, but rather something the Duolingo tech people need to fix. Does anyone know how to report a glitch like this to them?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/fjkkgjkm

why is this lesson broken lol

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Aqualorium

この授業は一年かかります

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Kiyugi

I think some software engineer is holding this lesson hostage--or maybe it's the work of a Russian spy whose had too much vodka.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Gabrielayes

いちねんかかります...

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Hirimbo

Here to remember the classic endless lesson. It really did take one year.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/David91156

Does anyone else have a problem seeing the characters? I could not see the ichi

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Jessi540

Could be a problem from your side

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Franck86000F

I wrote '' 'it will take one year' 'and it has been refused ???

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Switchfork

Is "It will take a year" wrong?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/MilesBaker5

No, there is no destinction between present simple and future simple, so both are correct here.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Ashton55395

Me cleaning my room.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/justanoddone

I thought I was going mad!!!!

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/jzingers

Well, now I really know how to say this @!%$ phrase.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Franck86000F

Why the answer '' it will take one year '' is rejected ?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Michael7227

I get that this is probably a bug, but I actually appreciated the repetition of this lesson and I hope more are like this one, because THIS is how you learn a language like Japanese, with repetition. You need to practice reading and writing these words and symbols all the time, or else you simply won't remember them.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/nichoKou

But repetition is only effective if you learn a pattern, with variations in vocabulary, not just the same sentence repeating over and over

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/LightMor

But in discription to this lesson written: きょ年, 今年, 来年, おととし, さ来年, 年、and we don't learn all this in this sentence.

Where do you see any descriptions? I don't have it in PC and mobile versions either.
