"The first shot was bad."
Translation:Το πρώτο σουτ ήταν κακό.
The Greek soccer uses English terms mostly. It is valid for most of the other sports and games too. Some tries to introduce Greek terms in the period of the Greek Junta failed, as these terms were not good constructed and too formal. There was a period before WWII that some English terms created quasi-greek term, as i.e. χαφτάνι, for half time, ο ρέφερης, refery, but these terms were abandoned by the radio sportcasters, who started using the Greek words as they was convenient to them, so ημίχρονο for half time, διαιτητής for refery. So today the origin of the usual terms are a mixture of Greek and English terms, except some sports which use French or Italian terms, sometimes Spanish ones, according the tradition of each one and the trends.
Shot in english means more than just a footballer's shot. I assumed a gun shot.
