GCSE French Result!

After 2 years of hard work I finally got my French GCSE and am proud to say that I achieved an A! Using Duolingo really helped my French to improve and without using it I don't think I would have got the grade I did. Even though I am not continuing French for A-Level, I am inspired to finish my Duolingo course and I would even like to start learning German or Swedish in the future. For anyone doing GCSE or A-Level French, it is worth doing Duolingo regularly because although it can be repetitive, I can recall French so much more easily than I could 2 years ago so keep on going - it's worth it!

Isn't GCSE now 9-1?

A is a 7:

4 - bottom C (pass)

5 - top C (good pass)

6 - B

7 - A

8 - A*

9 - A** (only 3% of students get this grade)

I only had the new system (9-1) in English and Maths, in everything else we used old system (A*-G). From next year students will use the new system for all subjects.

I'm taking my GCSEs in 2019, so all my subjects will be 9-1.
