Yes. Bedankt is neutral, not formal or informal. Dank je wel is informal.

It is "dank JE wel" and there is no difference between the two :)

"Dank je wel" is "Thank you" and "Bedankt" is "Thanks". There's not much difference between them in English either.

When do i use "tot ziens" vs "dag" vs "doei"?

I don't think there are rules to use this. When I was in nederlands everytime I go out of a store they say "doei" or "dag" but "tot ziens" didn't hear it so often. Also depends on the city you are I kinda figured that out.

Wouldn't an acceptable translating for tot ziens be "see you later" or "til next time"? Tot=until and ziens=see
