Hello, I am a Korean student who is learning Swedish through Duolingo. Since I have almost completed the course, I thought a test who be needed. I did some web surfing and it turns out that a test named 'Swedex' is quite popular. I want to take a Swedex test but it seems like 'Swedex' cannot be done in Korea. It seems impossible for me to go abroad for this test, so can you guys help me? I have a couple of questions...
- Is there any way for me to do 'Swedex'? Any way to get a file of it?
If the answer is no, what other tests are popular? Can I do it in Korea?
I am thinking of reading some easy books with a Swedish-English dictionary. Is there a book you want to recommend? Same with the dictionary.
Tack sa mycket!
You can find downloadable Swedex practice exams here. I don't think that there are any answers, however.
One last thing: it's 'hjälpa mig', not 'hjälp mig'. If a verb ends in '-ar' in the present tense, then you drop the final '-r' in the imperative. If the verb ends in '-er' in the present tense, then you drop both letters in the imperative.
Good luck with the tests!
As a native swede I'll have to chime in and say, that "hjälp mig" is in fact the correct form. It is an "er" verb, "hjälper du honom?". In a clause such as "skulle du kunna hjälpa mig?" or "could you/would you be able to help me?" in English you would use the form "hjälpa", with an a but the a would also be present in an "er" verb.
The quality of the universities in comparison to one an other depends entirely on what subject you want to study.
However, you can't really go wrong with Lunds, Göteborgs och Uppsalas universitet, KTH (kungliga tekniska högskolan) eller Chalmers. So I'd pick one of those.
