German tree completed!
I just finished the German tree, but I still need to do a lot more work, on Duo and elsewhere, to strengthen my skills.
Thanks! I'll continue to review the Duolingo lessons, but won't necessarily set level 25 as a target.
That is very reasonable of you. I see that most people like to reach level 25 just for the satisfaction (which I don't judge anybody for doing), but it's nice to see that someone isn't so fixated on that. If you've learned all that the site has to offer, it's not mandatory to get to 25.
Kudos for your success with German (and your other languages as well...). It takes a lot of time and discipline to accomplish what you have done. I hope that it has been a labor of love...
If it weren't a labor of love, I wouldn't be doing it! And kudos to you also - it looks like you are doing very well following a similar path : )
Congratulations! I am going to finish mine in two days, and also need a lot more work. I am only two lessons away, but in two days I will also hit 280 days on my "streak". I like the "symmetry" of that. <smile>.
I was going to say that, about strengthening your skills. I find that's the hardest part. Of course, you can still use your cursor to find out the word(s), but it's much more satisfying if you can do it without the help. I'm also lucky that I have a person in Germany with whom I can practice. We often laugh at the errors in the lessons. He's using it for English, although he really doesn't need it.
That sounds like an excellent way to learn, for both of you. Best wishes!
