Okay thank you. I have problems with the subjunctive imperfect in French, as a random sentence « c'best bien que tu etais/tu sois heureux lorsque ton anniversaire »... saying « tu sois » just feels bizarre to me, I really hate the subjunctive imperfect. I say one or the other, depending on how I feel.

What do we say for reflexive verbs that are conjugated in the subjunctive? For example, how would I say ''I don't think he has remembered his bag?'' Is it « Je ne pense pas qu'il se soit souvenu de son sac »? It seems translated well, but feels bizarre. Google Translate suggests « Je ne pense pas qu'il se souvienne de son sac », in subjunctive form. But then, no indication of past, future or present. We can say « il ait », for example if we were to say the opposite: « je ne pense pas qu'il ait oublié son sac ».

Demilade, please tell me, which is more common in spoken French? How would we say in French the sentence given?
