duolingo different in app and on desktop

today was first time I decided to use duolingo via website and it seems like the way app works is complete different. Is it same with everyone?

Yes, they are very different.

I prefer the website. I learn more when I have to type a translation than when I get to pick the words from a list. And I type pretty fast on a keyboard but abysmally on a phone. >.<

What difference is this?

Personally, I prefer the website. I downloaded the Android app once and used it a couple of times. But I couldn't comment on discussions on the app, for some reason. Additionally, there were no Tips and Notes on the lessons on the app. I don't know if that has changed since I last used the app last month.

i have always used app so i didnt even know if there are tips and notes! or discussions!

but there is bots in app which i like to practice conversation; well written conversation
