"Ahoj" ... This one took me by surprise. I love the sea, so it seemed like a little hint that I should give this Slavic lang a try. Also, for some reason the whole language just clicks, doesn't it? I know all the Slavic langs have the same basic grammar, but Czech really speaks to me for some reason.

Can I say more than one? It's really hard to answer just one. x)

Some of my favorite Czech words are: "Zmrzlina" = "Ice cream", "Moře" = "Sea", "Král" = "King" and "Zrcadlo" = "Mirror". "Láska" is also very pretty as mentioned by DragonPolyglot. I might remember more in the future but for now these will do.

To be absolutely accurate: "ice cream" is "zmrzlina". But you probably figured it out on your own already. I wonder how non-native Czech speaker feels about that word. 5 consonants in a row. And such an important word. Tough language, indeed :-)

I love it! There are definitely weirder consonant clusters out there. Zmrzlina is the cuttest! And yes...I typed it wrong. It's now correct.

Yeah. And I've mixed up consonants and vowels. Nothing better than to correct someone's typo and then make mistake on much larger scale:-) Also edited....

Never mind, I'll go get some ice cream. (= Nevadí, půjdu si dát nějakou zmrzlinu.)

Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with Czech cuisine. :(

So as a suggestion for your next visit to Czechia, go and visit some cozy little cukrárna and have a more traditional Czech zákusek (dessert) like laskonka, indiánek, žloutkový věneček, punčový řez, kremrole or rakvička. They are all utterly delicious and the words themselves are just as sweet. :)

Nesnáším. The coolest word so far. I also like zvláštní, děvče, and anything that ends in ček or šek. I am still learning Czech, but I know enough to know that it is the coolest language on earth. Not the most beautiful, but the coolest by far. Excluding Slovak, because Slovak is 3 times more similar to Czech than Old English is to english. I know Czech is confusing, but it's awesome nonetheless. :)

Balík/balíček (package), chalupa (village house), městečko (town), koloběžka (street scooter).

Mostly because of the pronunciation itself and/or relation to the similarly sounding words in Russian.
