Polish music

Does anyone know some good polish bands so I can learn the language easier? Especially metal bands but I wouldn't mind other styles if the music is good, I'm just listening to polish Disney songs at the moment, haha.

Here is my playlist with my favourite old Polish songs (mainly pop but there is also some rock) : https://open.spotify.com/user/sylwuskak/playlist/5CH92DHgd8fjB0LoN1TYA0

Thanks man, I also know that song Fajnie by Maciej Maleńczuk, but that's just because he sings that Moana's song Błyszczeć.

As a polish metalhead I'm here to help

I understand that you want bands with Polish lyrics and relatively clear vocals so some of the biggest Polish bands like Behemoth, Vader, Decapitated - which mostly have lyrics in English and with growling vocals - are off. Here's couple of bands:

Percival Schuttenbach - folk metal (they did soundtrack to Witcher 3 too.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcDGakQSM_4

Furia - very interesting post-black metal from southern Poland. (not much lyrics in this particular video btw, but it has Polish subs, so you might like it). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6RRIJ4n2H8

Kabanos - comedic groove metal band, really popular lately https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skPjiSzR9n4

Illusion - legendary band from mid 90's (look at their clothes!) mixing grunge and hardcore punk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sIxHSnxYXo

Sweet Noise - extremely popular in the mid 90's too, back then they were playing groove metal, now they are experimenting a lot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPYd7ZPnB9c

Dezerter - on of the most important punk band in Polish history (this video is from 1982 - they are still playing now) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhHJyLpVgow

Masturbator - humorous (you might guess looking at the band's name) thrash metal band with clear vocals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ez4xGkIWYQo

RUTA - folk punk (I guess) don't listen to them much, but vocals are clear and you might like the Polish folk touch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGyAnXfd4Yg

Dr. Misio - rock band created by well known. Polish actor Arkadiusz Jakubek. He always said that this was his life dream and he finally decide to pursue it when he hit 40 , and you can see that in their concerts. I rarely saw a guy who give so much of himself on the stage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0BBpVl34I0

Hey - legendary rock band with Kasia Nosowska - arguably the best Polish female vocalist. This clip is very old, from mid-90's, their style became more mature and unique later on, but back then I had a childhood crush on her, and this video bring memories, you have to forgive me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-djP73fjrU=RDN-djP73fjrU

There's obviously many others, but I chose couple, from the wide spectrum of Polish metal and punk, you might find something you like

Great, thanks for the time you put in answering this. I actually heard of Behemoth before but didn't know they were polish, and even though they don't have clear vocals I can still try to translate the lyrics and enjoy like I do with norwegian, danish, icelandic and swedish music. And also I can send you some brazilian metal and rock bands if you're interested.

Hey, about Behemoth, here's their old (20 years) song with Polish lyrics and Polish subtitles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaioK4krWdc

As a Brazilian metal, go ahead, although I've been listen to Sepultura since I was a child, I know Krisiun, and Ratos de Porao pretty well too (and saw all of those bands live) so you might post something less word-wide known ;)

I didn't know Ratos de Porão were that famous, they actually opened for this band, Matanza, in the show I went. This band started as a mix between Hardcore and Country, now it kinda lost the Country side though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxviiM7g8ac

The other two are joke bands but they may still be good for someone that doesn't know portuguese:

Massacration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcBYBukjkBY

Mamonas Assassinas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-lYaIKPJLQ (This is the only one they sing in english, and it's not meant to make sense).

Angra - It's a power metal band that sings in english, I don't know a lot about them but they even played with Nightiwish: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3o-YOsxQR_E

Armahda - Another power metal band that sings about the brazilian history: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSbWyalJm2c (you can jump to 2:00 if you want)

Legião Urbana - A punk rock band from 1982, but ended when the vocalist, Renato Russo, died. They even made a movie based in a song, so the lyrics is the best part in their musics but may you still it enjoy without them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6uM7FehywQ

There are still some more but I don't really like them, so I wouldn't know their best song.

If you like metal music – and you're ok with a little bit of humour – you should check them out: Nocny Kochanek
But be careful – the lyrics are supposed to be funny, they might not make much sense sometimes and/or have intended mistakes.

Oh, I didn't realize someone asked this before, I should've searched more.

Don't worry :)
