You can also take classes with a private tutor in sites like italki.com, if you are clear about your goals with a professional tutor you can study at your pace and achieve good results. You can reach B1 on your own and get a community tutor in italki to practice speaking. After B1 I think a class is very helpful, but i will try the tutor first.
