Translation:A tangerine is a fruit.
It is. A satsuma is a kind of mandarin orange. It has loose skin and is easy to peel.
I entered it and it was incorrect, though i think that it should be correct as abstract ideas do not need to be plural
Okay, one part doesn't accept tangerines and now this one doesn't accept mandarins... Gotta fix this Duolingo
Both "Tangerines are fruit." and "Mandarins are fruit." are now accepted.
According to Wikipedia:
만다린 = mandarin orange (this is the purebred wild-type line, the others are all hybrid cultivars of based on this with a bit of the pomelo/shaddock, and regular oranges are too)
귤 = tachibana orange (though tachibana=橘 is also an old, general word for (flowering) citrus-fruit trees in Japanese)
온주귤 = satsuma (in the Southern US or Britain, mikan in Japanese)
편귤 = tangerine
Iyokan may be 이요칸 or perhaps 이예감?
