"But last year I got thirty-seven presents!"
Translation:Maar vorig jaar heb ik zevenendertig cadeautjes gekregen!
By the way, I totally recommend reading Harry Potter in dutch on kindle. I started it after completing Duoling Dutch tree 1.0 (from no previous knowledge of dutch) and the level is just right. There are obviously lots of words in Harry Potter that are not in Duo, but this does not matter as it is possible to skim or guess the descriptive bits - and kindle comes with a built in dictionary so you can select any word and see the dictionary. Kindle also has a "translate" feature, which I do use sometimes, especially if I don't understand dialogue - in Harry potter the story is carried by the dialogue. The bits between are very descriptive. And there is a good amount of repitition which I think makes it an ideal first book for reading in Dutch.
Dat is een geweldig idee! Plus I already know the stories well enough that I could probably glean a lot from context. I think I'm going to get Harry Potter in Dutch for my Kindle and try reading it once I've finished the Duolingo course. I may have to make that a tradition whenever I finish a course in a new language...it's a great next step in learning the language, plus a good excuse to reread Harry Potter. Win-win!
In the History lesson there is a Star Wars reference and now a HP one... Dutch duolingo is funny
