Are you sure you want to close your account? It sounds like maybe it would be better to reset your progress in your language course. Just go to your settings, go to the "learning language" section, and click on the link labelled "Reset or remove languages".

...or are you trying to add a new language? You can do this by holding the mouse over the language flag at the top of the page, and selecting "Add a new course".

Unfortunately, you cannot use the same email to create a new account, because the current rules make it possible to return at any time to reactivate the account just by singing in.

I don't know. My guess would be you can use the same email again and the account would be activated.

If you are taking a temporary break or planning on returning here anyway, then I recommend just leaving your account as is. There's no real risk from doing so.
