"Overachiever" badge doesn't work?

I made 305 XP today (249 in German). The badge displays 124/200? Why?

I'm having this problem now. I met my first target of 50XP in a day, but the bar still says 0/50 for the award. I don't use the app, only the computer version. Any updates on this? Surely it's ridiculous to have achievements that only work in the app.

Same here, on the computer.

What did you get the XP on? Could it be lack of synchronisation between the app and the synchronisation? I have had problems with that before (for me, practises only counted towards the Sharpshooter achievement when I did them on the app).

I practiced Spanish and German. I thought that I had to do more than 200 in one language so I did 249 in German. But nothing :(

Just noticed. I meant "synchronisation between the app and the website". You could try earning those 200XP on the app only.

Alright, it's confirmed. It doesn't count the XP points made in the web. It only counts the ones in the app. I did two lessons in the app and three on the web. It only counted 20XP for the badge. Oh well, thanks for your help!

Mmm. Yeah, that's what I thought. I have to do 20 lessons in the app to get to 200 (with timed lessons I can do 10 in the website). It could be this actually, because another badge that didn't activate is the one they give you when you equip a streak freeze. I did that through the web and nothing happened.

I earned more than 50XP a couple of days ago, all on the app, and noticed it didn't show up on my achievements. I was wondering if maybe I got another achievement on the same day, can you only get one per day?

I did 50 on the app yesterday. No medal. Thinking the app wasn’t working, I did 50 on the web. No medal. I’m pretty sure it’s broken too.

You have to set it as your daily goal, my guy

Hey, the solution is kind of buried in the comments, so i'm posting it here. You have to set your daily goal higher (I set it to 50 to resolve this issue for myself, but maybe a lower one would still work). If it doesn't immediately register that you've achieved the badge, do one more lesson.

This does not seem to work for me. I'm using the desktop version.

On my app, I am shown as getting the correct number of points, but when I get over 200, I am not awarded the Overachiever badge. I am logged in.

I had to go on the desktop version, set my daily goal to 50 XP, then get to 200. If you already got 200, just do one more lesson and see if it works then.

I'm having the same issues with the OverAchiever awards. I use the App and regularly earn over 50XP in a day but have never received the "star." I've tried doing them all in a row, spread throughout the day, in the same lesson, in different lessons..... I realize something may be set wrong but can't figure out what. Right now, my daily goal is set at 20XP. Any advice? Maybe this is a glitch for Duolingo programmers to fix!

Thanks, "bobzilla," that worked like a charm! All is well in Duolingo land again. :)
