Is not a better translation "Which child is this?" or "Which child is that?"?
All options [it/this/that] are accepted.

That would be "Které dítě on je?"
I don't get why "Which child it is" should be wrong
That should be the word order for a relative clause, not for a question.
Is the phonetic sound of ktere' regionally influenced? It's coming out as stere'. Or is that the usual way to pronounce the kt combination?
