  5. "Αυτός είναι ο προστάτης μου."

"Αυτός είναι ο προστάτης μου."

Translation:He is my protector.

I'm assuming you're joking.

But it is interesting how medical science chose this word for the area and perceived function of the prostate in mammals. In Greek, it can be used for the "prostate gland, a protector, a patron saint or a pimp".

That is absolutely fascinating, thank you! And yes, I was joking :-)

I deal with prostates on a decently regular basis being in medicine, but I still didn't realise that it was derived from προστάτης until just now. XD I came to the comments section to make that very observation!

Don't speak like that because you discover your age.

:))) Yes. Btw you want .."reveal your age" or "give your age away"

I'm already 69 years old and I don't want to give the wrong impression. 5 years ago I might not have said anything, but today.... I think it's a privilege for me to be able to live and meet new people.

Thank you all for being here giving joy to my life. 🙂

Your friend Kleanthes

Wow, I realized, just now, that I am at the sexiest age of my life. Wow 69!!!

But I also realized that: "Now, when the Sea became Yogurt, I lost my spoon". 🤣

While not relevant to religion, "This is my prostate." is a valid translation for this sentence (currently not accepted here).

Yes, we will add it. Thanks.
