For what it's worth (FWIW) I don't think an English dancer would be very likely to say this. Dancing is my work, dancing is my profession and perhaps dancing is my life all seem more likely.

Doesn't "meseria" = "job" and "trade" = "comerţ"?

"Munca mea / locul meu de muncă" = "my job" is what you do, the place where you do it. "Meseria mea" is what you are qualified for. You can be a qualified baker but currently work as a postman. In French "meserie" translates to "métier". I am not an English native but I think "trade" is a good translation. See also "jack of all trades", "trade union", etc.

Meserie isn't even trade (well, not anymore). It means job.

"job", "trade", "profession" = "loc de muncă", "comerț", "profesie"?
