Rocks are big, stones are small

Absolutely. The historic standing stones found across Europe, Africa, and Asia, especially the famous Stonehenge, plus the stone blocks used to build the pyramids and the Navajo sandstone formation in Utah, are all so notoriously tiny you could fit them in your pocket. Meanwhile, it's astonishing that pet rocks ever gained a foothold as a retail gimmick, since most of them are the size of a small house.

Does 'muy' not also translate as 'too'? The stones are too big was marked incorrect.

March 6, 2015

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/JuevesHuevos

"Too" is "demasiado/a/os/as"

March 7, 2015

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Recumbentman

But often 'too' is given as an alternative translation of 'muy'.

Why in some cases is "muy" translated as too and others as very?

July 7, 2016

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Andreaja69

'Muy' shouldn't be translated as 'too', which is 'demasiado'.
