what is the difference between kluk, chlapec and hoch? which one is the most official? i am Polish and we say: chłopak or chłopiec... but i have never heard kluk or hoch before
Kluk is less formal than chlapec which is less formal than hoch (although the last one is not used that much anymore). Same goes for holka<dívka.
so it is more like 'malec' in Polish I believe. I mean kluk=malec, chlapec=chłopiec... In English they use less formal words for a boy like mate, lad [in England] or dude in USA etc. I was just confused a bit why I had to learn 3 words for a boy which is chlapec
