Suggestion - add another dutch voice

Hi dear developers and contributors. I'm learning dutch about 7 months with doulingo and I saw german course has lots of voices and even a bot. I know there are less learners in dutch but please add another voice like a woman or another man, idk. thanks

Hi MehdiMir!

Unfortunately, we, the contributors, can't really do anything about the voice(s). We use a TTS (text-to-speech). The one that we use now, is the one that we were waiting for a long time. Before this, we had a female TTS, which did mispronounce more sentences and words, so we are happy with the change.

If you'd like to hear more Dutch, I'd recommend forvo.com (for pronunciation) and nos.nl (The latter is the national news, with a lot of articles, but also small clips and you can watch the news as well)

The podcast lauraspeaksdutch.info has really helped with my accent and listening skills. You might want to give it a listen.

I agree that each language should have at least one male and one female speaker.

That would be an ideal situation, but it all depends on the availability and cost of good quality TTS (text-to-speech) software per language.
