"One, two, three"

Translation:일, 이, 삼

September 17, 2017

All of the 漢字-based numerals are one syllable. And if you speak a variety of Chinese that preserved the final consonants /p/, /t/, and /k/, then you will have an easy time picking these up. Japanese speakers should also pick these numerals up with ease.

They're still really easy if you speak Mandarin, just have to remember that it goes il yi, not yi il like you might guess.
