In Verbs: Present 2, montrer is translated as both showing and watching. Is the difference just in the context of the sentence?
Montrer does not mean "to watch", that would be regarder. The problem is that the hover hints are usually taken out of context. Montre is the first and third person singular conjugation of montrer, which is why the hover shows "show/shows/showing". Une montre on the other hand is "a watch". Was the hint "watching" or just "watch"?
