익히셨어요: past indicative informal polite form with honorific
But no honorific on 아빠. Seems inconsistent.
What is the difference between 익히다 and 요리하다?
익히다 - To cook (prepare a dish e.g. by boiling; grilling; or pickling etc.)
요리하다 - To cook; to do the cooking ( = as in to undertake the cooking task )
조리하다 - To cook as in to prepare a meal
요리하다=to make it as food
You can 요리하다 salad, but you can't 익히다 salad.
Why do so many of these words not match anything that pops up when you hover your mouse over the word/tap the word
Is 잘 necessary here? Considering 익히셨어요 means "cooking well/through"...
잘 익히다 = to do the cooking well = to be good at cooking
돼지 고기를 잘 익히다 = to be good at cooking (grilling) pork
푹 익히다 = to well-cook = to cook thoroughly (through and through)
돼지 고기를 푹 익히다 = to "well-cook" the pork = to cook the pork thoroughly
